Teams aren’t satisfied just making the postseason. They want to finish what they started months ago. They don’t want their season to end with a loss. They want to win it all.
It’s playoff season. The San Antonio Spurs will host the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals, while the Carolina Hurricanes will welcome the Las Vegas Golden Knights as they battle for the NHL’s Stanley Cup.
In college sports, softball has reached the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City, and baseball begins its Super Regional round as teams look to advance to Omaha for the College World Series.
Putting in the hard work, sweating through the practices, overcoming the challenges of nagging injuries and personal setbacks. Winning takes mental fortitude.
The same thought process should be in play for anyone in real estate.
It’s not about getting a listing; it’s about getting it sold. It’s not just securing a buyer or writing an offer; it’s about reaching the closing table.
You have to put in the hard work. Make the calls, send the emails, write the notes, hold the open houses. Realtors don’t have to deal with nagging injuries, but hearing “no,” “no thanks,” “not now,” or “maybe later,” can be painful if you let that be where the conversation ends. Winning takes mental fortitude.
This week, celebrate the progress you’ve made. Appreciate the opportunities you’ve earned.
Then get back to work.
The season isn’t over yet.
