It’s easy to get distracted around this time of the year.
You’ve got “stockings being hung by the chimney with care” and it’s just a matter of time before you’re going to have to make some cookies or a side dish for that office pot luck.
There are holiday lights flashing and you’ve already begin looking ahead to 2013 with the first draft of your Business Plan already completed.
While many people get their shopping done in the summer, who are you kidding. You’re probably not even close to being done. Heck, because you’ve been so busy lately with buyers and sellers, you have barely even started.
It’s time to be aware of the distractions that might be out there and do whatever you need to do to focus on the business that is right in front of you and aim to finish 2012 strong.
Get those deals that are currently pending to the closing table. Help those buyers who are “still looking” narrow down their choices and make a decision. Discuss a possible price re-position with current sellers and try to catch those buyers who are anxious to get their purchase done before the new year.
Think of how powerful a great finish can be.
Will you be on the edge of your seat like fans watching the 2012 SEC Championship between Alabama and Georgia were?
Will you pull off a high pressure moment when it’s most needed?
Will people be cheering for you to complete the ending everyone was hoping for?
Or will you give it everything you have, physically and emotionally, and be willing to lean on others that are there to help you to finish the race?
Whichever path you choose, I am excited to see you focus, work hard and end on a positive note.
I’ll see you at the finish line!
