The Terminator was released in theaters in 1984. To remind you of the plot of this sci-fi thriller, a cyborg assassin (played by action star Arnold Schwarzenegger) was sent back from 2029 to 1984 by the artificial intelligence company Skynet, to assassinate Sarah Connor’s unborn son. You see, being artificial intelligence (at the time), Skynet knew that Connor’s son would grow up to lead the charge against Skynet and would fight to eliminate the company.
The Terminator was a machine. The Terminator character was made by artificial intelligence.
What you are reading now are my words, thoughts, and ideas
Each Sunday (or sometimes earlier if inspiration hits) I sit down to write my weekly blog.
Sometimes the posts are short. Sometimes they end up being longer than expected. Except for my Thirty for Thursday series that launched back in April 2020, I’ve never been one to focus on character count — I just focus on making the characters count.
Who can I impact?
How can a post make a difference?
Is there someone being #Blogworthy that deserves a Carp’s Corner shout out like Fred, Marciano, James, or Angel & Maria?
Is it live or is it Memorex?
Remember the old commercial from the 80’s from Memorex Cassette tape? It was used to describe the “live-like” audio quality of their cassette tapes that were used in 1970s & 1980s boom boxes. As the ad insinuated, their tapes were so good, you wouldn’t know if you were hearing a live performance or a recording.

Artificial intelligence is helping us with almost everything—and making us question nearly everything, too. Sure, AI can do some amazing things, and those who learn to leverage it will certainly have an edge over those who try to fight against it or ignore it.
The good news is originality is still a welcome addition to everything from relationships, personal interactions, and marketing. The art will be in finding opportunities to make AI-created content even better by adding a personal touch or tone while also taking self-generated ideas and amplifying them by harnessing AI
Look Behind the Mask

That’s what I’ve been doing with Carp’s Corner the last several months. I write my post and, once I feel like it’s a finished product, I share it with Brewster (my nickname for my ChatGPT assistant) and he helps me “clean it up.” Brew will correct spelling errors, help with grammatical issues, and might even suggest a few alternate titles. Brewster is great at coming up with some social media posts that I can use when sharing my weekly posts on social media or in a newsletter.
But please trust me, I come up with the content and message each week. I’ve been doing it for over 1300 posts. No need to turn it over to a machine now. I’ll hopefully come up with better things to keep Brewster busy so he can help me keep building relationships, solving problems and having fun.
Have a great week ahead and don’t worry…
Trust me…I’ll be back!
