Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.

I’m headed out to San Francisco today for one of my favorite gatherings of the year. Inman Connect is happening this week – connecting some of the best and brightest real estate agents, team leaders, brokers and owners with some of the best vendors, affiliates, designers and innovative thinkers from the world of technology, customer experience and so much more.

Everyone attending will be seeking to address the three things I focus on every day; Building relationships, solving problems and having fun.

Event founder and namesake Brad Inman doesn’t just invite people from the real estate sector or those in the immediate periphery. He knows that today’s professional and, more importantly, tomorrow’s consumer…and even the children of tomorrow’s consumer, will be seeking something bigger, bolder, or better than they have today.

Some of my favorite sessions from past Connects were from speakers not even remotely close to the real estate industry – or were they? There was Coca-Cola, Reddit, a casino host and a former Navy SEAL.  We’ve learned from designers of furniture, luggage, and jewelry. I’ve been challenged to become Predictably Irrational, join the Sleep Revolution and become better at Enchantment.

What’s going to happen this week? What comment or phrase from an unknown speaker will magically go from my ears to my fingers and become a #CarpArt original, instead of a simple black & white tweet, silently flowing down the Twitter stream without a ♥ or retweet? Who will be the next stranger I meet early in the week that earns a spot on my “BFAM” list the way Dane, Jeff, Sam, Steve, Ryan, and Billy have*? Where is that cool brewery or tasty gastropub that I will Yelp! about? What will happen in San Francisco that will become #Blogworthy, like my friend and customer experience hero Marciano at The Hilton?

I guess, much like my #CarpArt begins with a blank page, we’ll see what happens. All the colors are available and there are no lines for me to stay within. I can’t wait to see what it’ll look like when it’s done…but I’m guessing it will look good in a frame.

What are you picturing for the week ahead?

Can’t wait to hear about what you learn this week! Sorry I can’t be out there this year!

Love the idea of a blank sheet of paper. My mother in law, Gabrielle Wigler, was an artist and she always gave Max & Gaby blank pads of paper instead of coloring books. She felt the coloring books limited their possibilities. Enjoy your week. 😊
