Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.

I’m sitting by the pool at our rented vacation home in South Florida today. The sky above is an inviting shade of blue with the occasional wisps of cloud floating by. Just enough white to make you appreciate the clear blue above. The fronds on the palm trees surrounding our backyard oasis create the peaceful sounds that the breeze wouldn’t create without some form of friction. Add in the harmonious tunes of the birds moving from branch to branch in the green canopy above and the tunes of Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff and Jimmy Buffett playing from the small Bluetooth speaker and I’d say this is a pretty good spot to be in right now. But I know…

It won’t always be like this.

I remember Spring Breaks and summer vacations with the car filled with strollers, baby car seats, and buckets of beach toys. We had inflatables for the pool and lots of VCR tapes, and juice boxes to keep the kids occupied when between the pool, beach and bike rides. Over the last few years, the “kids toys” have been replaced with golf clubs, DVDs for the car ride and more Keurig coffee pods. With my daughter Riley heading off to college next year, this is a great week to enjoy being together, relaxing and enjoying everyone’s company. But I know…

It won’t always be like this.

In the real estate market, inventory levels are extremely low. Realtors lucky enough to earn the business of a Seller in today’s market will likely experience a very short time on the market and if they properly price the home when it hits the market (along with professional photographs, detailed property descriptions and proper word of mouth to their fellow real estate community members) they will be navigating multiple offers and possibly helping their client decide on which offer above asking price they will take. But we should all realize…

It won’t always be like this.

In the real estate market, inventory levels are extremely low. Realtors lucky enough to earn the business of a Buyer in today’s market will likely experience a very challenging process; busy showing appointments with multiple parties looking at the houses at the same time, homes going into contract before showings even happen and frustration from the clients who are spending hours a day on the listing portals hoping to find “the one” that no one else will know about. If they property is priced properly they will be competing offers and while one party will “win” the right to purchase the property, there will be many disappointed and discouraged buyers. Take a deep breath and remember…

It won’t always be like this.

If you’re really busy right now and finding it hard to take a few minutes to yourself, remember that if you don’t make time to focus on business development activities…Or if you are really slow right now, remember that if you don’t make time to focus on business development activities…

It won’t always be like this.

Enjoy where you are right now…or change where you are right now. After all, it’ won’t always be like this.
