- Work hard or take it easy.
- Hold an open house or take Sunday afternoon off.
- Follow up on potential leads or wait until they call you.
- Send hand-written notes or cross your fingers that people will remember you when they have a real estate need.
- Get in the office each day or stay secluded in your house.
- Schedule appointments on purpose or hang out and see if you happen to run in to someone who is ready to list their house.
- Focus your time on business development activities or focus your time on business support activities.
- Risk hearing “no” or avoid hearing “yes.”
Options
- Out of office email message or assistant checking emails while you’re gone?
- Relax or chill?
- Beach or pool?
- Golf or tennis?
- Seafood or steak?
- Mani/Pedi or massage?
- Cold beer or cocktail w umbrella?
- Stay up late or sleep in?
If you choose wisely from among the former, the decisions you make in the latter will not matter as much because you’ll win either way. The saying has never been “Play hard, work harder” so stop trying to change it.
