Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.

The decision on which teams will be involved in the college football playoff is still several weeks away yet fans of all the teams that aren’t among the Top 4 as of today are irate. They feel disrespected and can’t understand why their team isn’t ranked higher. Even some of the fans of teams ranked in the Top 4 are mad because they aren’t ranked higher. #1 ranked Clemson seems to be the only team happy with where they stand.

There are even people who support teams that aren’t even in contention for a spot in the playoffs who are angry about certain teams or conferences getting ranked. The amazing thing is there is still 3+ weeks of football to be played!

Many of the teams in contention still play each other or have difficult opponents still to face. It seems that every year people spend the middle of November worrying about all of the “what ifs” and other hypothetical results that could put this team or that team in position to play for the national championship.

It’s not unusual for people to worry about things that haven’t happened yet, but every year it seems fans forget that the games yet to be played will have a huge impact on what might happen. It’s like that answer on the comprehension portion of the SAT that said “Not enough information to answer.”

It’s November 2015 and people are already trying to figure out what will happen to their life if this candidate or that candidate gets elected President…in 2016. Some people are already fretting about their income tax return they might or might not get and they’re not even done earning income this year.

Don’t spend your week worrying about something that isn’t finalized yet. So what if that potential Seller might tell you “no.” They also might hire you and have three other properties to sell. Sure, your contract might not be accepted…but you also might beat out all the other offers on the table. They might not answer the door when you knock or they could be waiting for you to arrive.

Some may say “half full” while others say “half empty.” I agree with my friend Jeff Chalmers who shared the photo below.

positivity

Let’s just let the games, campaigns and transactions play out and be ready for the outcomes that could occur when they happen. Either way, be ready to build relationships, solve problems and have fun.
