golf coldThe tee times are an hour later because the sun doesn’t come up as early. It’s a bit chillier so you might have to wear an extra layer of clothing or pack a knit hat. Yet the course is the same and the rules are the same and you still are trying to shoot the lowest score.

It’s the playoffs and the best teams have advanced, all battling for a spot in the “Fall Classic.” Every team left has hopes of winning it all. Yet the game still has nine innings and the rules still say that the team that scores more wins.

There are only a few months left in the year so the deadlines that were set back in January are looming. There’s still time to reach the goals or even surpass them if things all fall into place. Yet the ability to set appointments, convert leads and close deals is tantamount to success, regardless of the self-imposed deadlines in place.

It doesn’t matter how cold it is…keep it in the fairway, hit the greens and make the putts.

Don’t worry about whether it’s the playoffs or not…see the ball, hit the ball, throw the ball and catch the ball.

What the calendar says doesn’t matter…build relationships, solve problems and have fun.

It’s not about the time of year, it’s about the execution.
