Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.

One of the coolest thing about a career in real estate is that every day is different. At the same time, one of the toughest things about a career in real estate is that every day is different. It can be very difficult to get into a routine or system when each day presents you with different challenges and tasks.

It’s the Same…but Different

The golf course is the same but the pin positions and weather conditions can change everything.

The basketball court doesn’t change dimensions but the opponents approach to the game will be different each night.

Your favorite restaurant’s menu hasn’t changed in years yet some nights you feel like trying something new.

There are 168 hours in a week but how we choose to use them will vary based on our priorities and plans.

Bible verses were written thousands of years ago but depending on what is happening in our lives at the moment, our interpretations of the words might change.

The nightly news comes on at the same time each evening but the story never remains the same.

Are you Rooting for Routine?

12057800506_6452b05ae4_zEverything an agent does throughout their day or week boils down to two areas – business development and business support. The sooner you can build some consistency into your daily/weekly routine, the more success you will find. Each and every day should include business development activities such as phone calls, emails, face-to-face meetings and other opportunities to build relationships, solve problems and have fun.

Sometimes your current clients or transactions don’t follow the script. At least, not the one you were reading. Knowing there will be some uncertainty in your week ahead will help emphasize the importance of being in control of as much as you can.

Start by penciling in time to build relationships, solve problems and have fun. The rest will usually work itself out.
