Welcome to July – 6 months behind us and 6 months ahead. It has a simple symmetry to it, doesn’t it?
Real estate has some truisms that expose that symmetry;
“You get out of it what you put in to it.”
It’s wise to focus on activity, not results…but it helps when you have identified some clear, specific results (a.k.a. goals) so you can identify the activities to focus on in the first place.
We want customers to call us but sometimes we have to call customers.
There are usually two sides to every story.
The best negotiation is one that results in a win-win for both sides.
The business is all about building relationships – that takes interaction, discussion and engagement. Listen and talk. Give and take. Yin and Yang
It’s also about solving problems. Seeing what’s broken and knowing how to fix it.
And don’t forget having fun. Turning frowns into smiles. Groans into grins. Lamenting into laughing.
No matter how you slice it, hopefully you’ll see it the way I do.
