Are You a Rubberband Man?

Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.

  • Do you feel that you have enhanced your services over the years of practicing real estate?
  • Have your experiences helped you to be more comfortable in situations that once made you nervous or unsure?
  • Can you deliver dialogues now that are internalized, not just memorized?
  • Do you consider yourself confident when  it comes to market knowledge, contract details and local rules and regulations?

If you answered yes, you probably have a case of “hysteresis.”

Don’t worry. It’s not life threating…but it can be life altering.

Elastic hysteresis often occurs when you place a rubber band around a stack of papers. Over time when you remove the rubber band from the papers, it refuses to go back to its original elasticity and shape.

“A mind, once stretched by an original idea, never returns to its original size again.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

What is something big that you really want to accomplish?

How many closings would you like to have by the end of the year?

How much income would help you achieve a level of success you have never realized before?

What would happen to your business if you really started “crushing it” like you’ve never crushed it* before?

It really comes down to this…

Are you stretching yourself enough?

You can start by building relationships, solving problems and having fun.

Then…stretch yourself a little bit more.
